President Trump Plans Major Renovations for Washington Dulles Airport
President Trump has proposed a $22.5 billion renovation plan for Washington Dulles International Airport. The plan includes scrapping the existing mobile lounges, which have been in use since 1962, and replacing them with a new underground U-shaped aerotrain and additional moving sidewalks. The renovation will also involve a major terminal expansion, with four new linear concourses replacing the current A, B, C, and D gates. The design aims to preserve the iconic sloped-roof main terminal while refurbishing the interior with an open foyer and new ticket kiosks. The project is part of Trump's broader efforts to rejuvenate federal infrastructure.
