U.S. Seeks Extradition of Scattered Spider Hacker Arrested in Finland
Finnish authorities have arrested Peter Stokes, a 19-year-old dual U.S.-Estonian citizen, as he attempted to board a flight to Japan. Stokes, known online as 'Bouquet', is accused by U.S. prosecutors in Chicago of being a key member of the Scattered Spider hacking group. He faces charges of wire fraud, conspiracy, and computer intrusion, linked to multiple intrusions against large corporations. The U.S. is pursuing his extradition, highlighting his extravagant lifestyle and public taunting of law enforcement. This arrest is part of a broader crackdown on cybercriminal activities, including actions against cryptocurrency wallets linked to Iran's Central Bank.
