Eagle County Hosts Climate Action Week to Promote Sustainability
Eagle County, Colorado, recently concluded its fifth annual Climate Action Week, held from April 14 to April 22, 2026. Organized by Walking Mountains and the Climate Action Collaborative, the event aimed to increase awareness and engagement around sustainability and climate resilience. This year’s program featured 21 events over eight days, attracting 1,100 participants. Activities included workshops, educational panels, volunteer opportunities, and tours, all designed to make climate action accessible and community-focused. Highlights included the Green Buildings Tour, which showcased energy-efficient retrofits, and the Local Sustainable Agriculture Tour, which explored the challenges and opportunities in local farming.
