Ukraine's Role in Downing Iranian Drones in Middle East Confirmed by Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that Ukraine played a role in downing Iranian drones in the Middle East during the Iran War. In a recent social media post, Zelensky stated that Ukrainian military experts, including specialists in interceptor drones and electronic warfare, were sent to the region. This operation was deemed a success by Zelensky, who highlighted the significance of downing drones with jet engines. The Ukrainian personnel operated in several Middle Eastern countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan. This development follows earlier speculation about Ukraine's defensive aid to allies, particularly against Iran's Shahed drones, which have been used extensively in the conflict. Ukraine has become a leader in drone warfare, developing cost-effective drone interceptors and electronic warfare systems.
