Built in 1847, the brick building functioned as a jail until 1870. The property, located at 240 W. Indiana Ave., is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and retains six of its original jail cells, which are incorporated into the floor plan behind the dining area. Despite its past, the 2,960-square-foot residence is being marketed as a three-bedroom, three-bathroom single-family home, offering flexibility for a family or multi-generational living. The interior features traditional residential touches such as hardwood and laminate flooring, crown molding, an eat-in kitchen with granite countertops, and en suite bedrooms. The property has been owned by the same family since 1918 and can function as three separate one-bedroom apartments, though it has most recently been used as a single home.
