Environmental Group Warns Kushner's Albanian Resort Project Could Cause Ecological Damage
An environmental group has raised concerns over a luxury resort project in Albania linked to Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law. The $1.6 billion development, planned along the southern Adriatic coast, has sparked protests due to its potential ecological impact. The project, involving Kushner's Affinity Partners, is located near the Vjosa-Narta lagoon, home to endangered species like the pink flamingo. Despite protests, machinery has been removed from the site, but significant ecological harm has already occurred, according to Aleksandr Trajce, executive director of the Protection and Preservation of the Natural Environment in Albania (PPNEA). The Albanian government has not yet approved a final project, and discussions are ongoing among stakeholders.
