White House Lawn Restoration Plans Following UFC Event
The UFC is set to host a major event on the White House South Lawn on June 14, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States. The event will feature a full arena-style setup, including an Octagon and extensive infrastructure, expected to accommodate around 5,000 attendees. The construction and event are anticipated to cause significant damage to the lawn, necessitating a complete restoration afterward. UFC CEO Dana White has committed to covering the restoration costs, estimated at $700,000, which will involve replacing the damaged turf with pre-grown sod for immediate recovery.
