Shaden Resort in AlUla Achieves Green Globe Certification for Sustainability Efforts
Shaden Resort, a four-star property managed by Accor in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, has received its first Green Globe certification. This recognition comes after the resort implemented various sustainability measures focusing on water conservation, energy monitoring, waste reduction, and carbon management. The certification places the resort within an annually audited framework, although the published reduction figures are operational targets rather than confirmed results. The resort's location near Hegra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, underscores the importance of responsible hospitality operations in the environmentally sensitive desert landscape of AlUla. The Green Globe certification was initially announced on June 11, 2026, and later redistributed through EIN Presswire on July 22, 2026.
