This release, which includes over 160 records, follows President Trump's directive for increased transparency regarding federal and military records of unexplained phenomena. The documents cover a wide range of sightings, from Cold War-era reports of rotating saucers to recent observations of metallic elliptical objects. The release aims to provide the public with access to these records, allowing individuals to form their own conclusions about the phenomena. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth emphasized the importance of public access to these previously classified files, which have long been the subject of speculation.
