Chicago's 43rd Ward Implements Indigov to Enhance Constituent Services Efficiency
Chicago's 43rd Ward, under the leadership of Alderman Timmy Knudsen, has significantly improved its constituent services by implementing Indigov, a platform now part of Granicus. This initiative has led to an 85 percent reduction in average response time, from 4.6 days to 0.6 days, and a 178 percent increase in solved service tickets. The ward, which serves nearly 57,000 residents, has integrated its operations with the city's 311 system, allowing for real-time tracking and efficient management of service requests. This modernization has enabled the ward to deliver 2.9 million proactive communications and achieve a 59.3 percent newsletter open rate, well above the median benchmark for state and local government. The system consolidates requests from various channels into a single workflow, enhancing transparency and accountability.
