Piers Morgan Criticizes SXSW London for Lack of Support for Cenk Uygur After UK Ban
Piers Morgan expressed disappointment at SXSW London for not defending Cenk Uygur, a left-wing commentator and founder of Young Turks, who was barred from entering the UK by the Home Office. Uygur, along with his nephew Hasan Piker, was scheduled to speak at the event but was denied entry due to his critical stance on Israel. Morgan, speaking at a panel alongside singer Katherine Jenkins, criticized the festival for not standing up for free speech and allowing Uygur to participate in the event. SXSW London responded by stating that decisions on entry are made by the Home Office and emphasized their commitment to fostering open dialogue with diverse voices.
