Ukrainian Drones Target Russian Oil Refinery in Ufa, Escalating Tensions
Ukrainian drones reportedly struck the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery in Ufa, Russia, causing a fire at the site. The attack, which occurred on April 2, involved long-range drones and also affected a residential building. The regional governor claimed that the drones were shot down, with only debris causing damage. No injuries were reported, and the fire was extinguished. Ufa is located approximately 800 miles from the Ukrainian border, marking a significant range for Ukrainian strikes. The refinery, owned by Rosneft, processes a substantial amount of oil annually.
