Former Sinaloa Deputy Lucero Sánchez López Details Relationship with Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán
Lucero Sánchez López, widely known as 'La Chapodiputada,' has publicly discussed her relationship with Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán in an interview with YouTuber Jonathan Sámano, known as Gusgri. Sánchez López, a former Sinaloa deputy, stated that her involvement with Guzmán was not a free choice but rather a situation characterized by violence, control, and difficulty in escaping. She recounted meeting Guzmán in 2010 when she was 21 and working as a stylist, having recently left an abusive relationship. She was invited to a ranch under the pretense of a styling job, where she encountered Guzmán, who initially introduced himself as 'Juan.' She later discovered her own brother was working for Guzmán at the ranch. Sánchez López described how she gradually realized 'Juan' was not merely a rancher, particularly after receiving a note signed 'El Tío' and being warned about Guzmán's interest in her. She also learned that Guzmán had recently married a teenager shortly before her arrival at the ranch.
