Big Idaho Potato Truck Visits Eugene, Oregon, for Charity Event
The Big Idaho Potato Truck made its inaugural stop in Eugene, Oregon, at the South Eugene Safeway. This truck, which travels across the country, features a four-ton foam potato and serves as a mobile advertisement for Idaho potatoes. Beyond its promotional role, the initiative includes a charitable component called 'A Big Help.' During its stops, the Big Idaho Potato Truck donates to local charities. In Eugene, for every signature collected on a board, one dollar is donated to Food for Lane County, the regional food bank. This donation translates into two meals for community members in need for every dollar raised, according to Dawn Marie Woodwarn of Food for Lane County.
