San Francisco Police Arrest Three in Chinatown Pickpocket Ring Bust
San Francisco police have dismantled a pickpocket ring operating in the city's Chinatown, arresting three suspects after a weeks-long investigation. The suspects, identified as Stefan Ruset, Marian Constantine, and Florin Matei, were apprehended following reports of thefts that have troubled the neighborhood since early April. The arrests were facilitated by the collaboration between local merchants, residents, and the police, who used plainclothes officers and surveillance technology to track the suspects. The operation led to the recovery of stolen property, including items valued at approximately $4,000 from one victim. The suspects were charged with felony grand theft, conspiracy, and misdemeanor possession of stolen property.
