Body Found in Lake Ontario in 1992 Identified Through Genetic Genealogy
The Toronto Police Service has identified a body found in Lake Ontario in 1992 as Kevin, a man originally from Saskatchewan, using investigative genetic genealogy. Kevin's body was discovered in the Inner Harbor of Lake Ontario, and his death was not deemed suspicious. Despite not being reported missing, his family had long feared for his whereabouts. The identification was part of Project 31, an initiative to resolve long-term cases using genetic genealogy, making Kevin the 10th individual identified through the program.
