New Jersey Man Charged with Property Damage for Firing Self-Defense Gun
A 61-year-old man from the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township, New Jersey, has been charged with multiple weapons offenses after allegedly causing property damage with a self-defense gun. According to the Gloucester Township Police Department, the man was arrested and charged with three counts each of possession of prohibited weapons, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and criminal mischief. Over a six-month period, police received reports of property damage in commercial parking lots along the Blackwood Clementon Road corridor, attributed to the suspect's use of a firearm. The weapon in question is believed to be a self-defense gun that fires solid metal kinetic ball projectiles. During searches of the suspect's home and vehicle, detectives discovered four self-defense weapons and numerous metal ball projectiles. The man is currently in custody at Camden County Jail awaiting court proceedings.
