Wildfire Contained in West Deptford, NJ
A wildfire in West Deptford Township, New Jersey, has been successfully contained after burning approximately 160 acres. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service responded to the fire, which broke out around 11 a.m. near Red Bank and Hessian avenues. Heavy smoke was visible as crews worked to contain the flames. By 2 p.m., the fire was 70% contained, and by 6 p.m., officials confirmed full containment. Initially, about 60 structures were threatened, prompting voluntary evacuations, but no structures are currently at risk, and evacuations have been lifted.
