Hamilton County Faces Challenges as Federal Aid Likely Denied After Flooding
Hamilton County, Ohio, is unlikely to receive federal aid following severe flooding in July, according to preliminary assessments by the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency. The flooding affected 118 properties, including homes and businesses, but did not meet the threshold for financial assistance. Cincinnati City Council is addressing the long-term challenges posed by such events, with plans to allocate funds for affected residents and form a task force to explore flood prevention measures.
