Medina Valley ISD Prepares for New School Year Amid Rapid Growth
Medina Valley Independent School District (ISD) in Texas is gearing up for a new school year under the leadership of newly appointed Superintendent Emily Lorenz. The district, recognized as one of the fastest-growing in the state, is focusing on balancing its rapid expansion with maintaining a student-centered approach. Lorenz, who joined the district in June, is overseeing a community of approximately 10,500 students across nine schools, including the newly established Creek View High School. The district has recently passed two bond elections to support its growth, and Lorenz emphasizes the importance of academic achievement and campus safety. The district has also hired 156 new teachers and over 200 staff members to accommodate the increasing student population.
