Tel Aviv Peace Summit Advocates Diplomacy Over Military Action Amid Ongoing Conflicts
The third annual People’s Peace Summit was held in Tel Aviv, drawing approximately 5,000 attendees to the Expo Center, with thousands more participating via global watch parties. Organized by the It’s Time coalition, the summit emphasized the importance of diplomacy over military action in resolving conflicts, particularly in light of ongoing tensions with Iran and Hezbollah. The event featured participation from Knesset members, international diplomats, and various peace advocates. The summit aimed to engage young Diaspora Jews who feel increasingly disconnected from Israel, offering an alternative narrative to the current Israeli government’s policies. The coalition, which includes over 80 organizations, seeks to promote peace and shared-society initiatives, especially in the wake of recent conflicts.
