UCLA Student's Death During Amazon Internship Sparks Community Mourning
Dayanara Nicole Urbina Ruiz, a 21-year-old UCLA student interning at Amazon in Seattle, tragically died from blunt-force trauma injuries after falling from a window onto a hiking trail. The King County medical examiner ruled the death an accident, with initial reports suggesting alcohol might have been involved. Urbina Ruiz was a first-generation college student and a member of the Phi Lambda Rho sorority, known for celebrating Latina and Chicana women. Her unexpected death has left the UCLA community and her family grieving, with calls for a more thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding her passing.
