Holocaust Survivors Lead March of the Living Amid Rising Antisemitism
Holocaust survivors are participating in the annual March of the Living in Poland, a symbolic event that commemorates the victims of the Holocaust and raises awareness about the rise of antisemitism worldwide. Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, including rocket attacks from Hezbollah and strained US-Iran relations, ten survivors have traveled from Israel to join the march. The event, which coincides with Holocaust Remembrance Day, involves a walk from Auschwitz to Birkenau, with approximately 7,000 participants. Survivors like Dorit Carmeli and Naftali Fürst emphasize the importance of educating future generations about the Holocaust and combating antisemitism.
