Indiana State University Launches Digital Community to Enhance Online Student Engagement
Indiana State University is introducing a new digital community platform called Sycamore Grove, aimed at enhancing engagement and success among its online students. This initiative is in partnership with InScribe, an online education company. The platform is designed to function as a virtual student commons, allowing students to connect with classmates, faculty, and campus resources. It facilitates peer-to-peer interaction, enabling students to ask questions, share experiences, and receive guidance from professors. This development comes as the university's online community approaches 2,000 students. The platform is intended to complement existing systems like Canvas, the university's learning management system.
