Minot State University (MSU) is set to host its sixth annual cybersecurity summit, NODAKON, on October 15 at the Student Center Conference Center. This year's event, titled 'NODAKON: AI, Cybersecurity, and Future Readiness,' is organized by MSU’s School of Business, Math, and Technology. The summit will feature a mix of campus and community sessions, with specific sessions reserved for Minot State students and for MSU faculty and staff. The initial three sessions and a lunch are free and open to the public, starting at 10 a.m. These public sessions will include insight discussions with Chris Gergen from North Dakota Information Technology (NDIT), Shawn Grosz from SRT, and Luis Estrada from First Western Bank & Trust, covering topics such as the need for cybersecurity professionals, ISP challenges, and AI in banking. A roundtable discussion on 'AI at Work' will also be part of the morning agenda, followed by a keynote address on proactive AI practices by Ryan Jockers.
