Volunteer Group Organizes Search for Missing Nebraska Boy Ryan Larsen After Five Years
Bring ‘Em Home Nebraska, a volunteer organization, is coordinating a search effort this weekend at a reservoir area in Omaha, Nebraska, for clues related to the disappearance of 11-year-old Ryan Larsen. Ryan went missing over five years ago in May 2021, after walking away from La Vista West Elementary School. He was last seen by a neighbor less than two miles from the school. Erik Rezabek, the founder of Bring ‘Em Home Nebraska, believes this specific site could offer new insights into the case. The search will cover approximately 450 acres of varied terrain, including tall grass, tree lines, and shoreline, areas that typically experience low foot traffic. Volunteers will be looking for any items Ryan might have had with him, such as clothing, shoes, or a backpack. While parts of the area were previously searched in 2021, the reservoir was not fully drained at that time, and shifting water levels since then may have exposed new ground.
