Former Cayuga Trustee John Klink Receives Statewide Marvin A. Rapp Award for Distinguished Service
John Klink, a former trustee of Cayuga Community College, has been honored with the Marvin A. Rapp Award for Distinguished Trustee Service by the New York Community College Trustees. This award, established in 1986, recognizes trustees who have served for at least five years and have made significant contributions to their college communities. Klink, a 1966 graduate of Cayuga Community College, served on its Board of Trustees from 2012 to 2023. Additionally, he dedicated nine years to the Cayuga County Community College Foundation Board of Directors. During his tenure, Klink was involved in various committees focusing on facilities, finances, personnel, and planning. He also co-chaired a presidential search committee and supported the college's expansion efforts, including its Fulton campus in Oswego County. Cayuga President Brian Durant and Board of Trustees Chair Marian Brown both lauded Klink's dedication, ethical leadership, and unwavering focus on students and the college community.
