US Funding Cuts Impact Global HIV Treatment Programs, Report Finds

The report highlights a 14% drop in treatment for children and widespread disruption across 46 countries. The US Department of State disputes the findings, claiming PEPFAR has strengthened under new strategic directions. However, UNAIDS warns of potential increases in HIV infections and AIDS deaths if cuts persist.
