Crowd Breaks Down Doors at King of Prussia Mall for Swatch Release, Police Respond
A large crowd gathered outside the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania early Saturday morning, attempting to enter the mall before it opened for a new Swatch release. According to Upper Merion Township police, the crowd, which numbered several hundred, became defiant when officers instructed them to move back from the doors. The situation escalated, leading to some individuals breaking down doors to gain entry. In response, approximately 100 officers were deployed to manage the situation and prevent further damage or looting. One person was arrested on charges of defiant trespassing, but no injuries were reported. The mall is set to reopen at noon, although the Swatch store will remain closed for the day.
