Florida Bar Faces New Ethics Complaint Against Former Attorney General Pam Bondi
A new ethics complaint has been filed against former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi by over 120 legal professionals, including retired judges and scholars. The complaint, submitted to the Florida Bar, accuses Bondi of unethical conduct during her tenure, particularly in relation to her handling of Department of Justice (DOJ) matters. The complaint highlights Bondi's alleged transformation of the DOJ into a personal legal arm for President Trump, threatening government attorneys who did not align with this approach. It also points to mishandling of sensitive information, such as the Epstein client list, and numerous violations of court orders. The complaint is supported by prominent figures like Peggy Quince, former Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court, and retired federal judges Nancy Gertner and Michael Luttig.
