Water.org Expands Efforts to Address Global Water Crisis with Innovative Solutions
Water.org, an international nonprofit based in Kansas City, MO, is intensifying its efforts to tackle the global water crisis. Founded by Gary White and Matt Damon, the organization focuses on providing safe water and sanitation to communities worldwide. Water.org employs market-driven financial solutions, such as WaterCredit, WaterEquity, and WaterConnect, to break down barriers to water access. These initiatives have mobilized $8.2 billion in capital and facilitated over 20.4 million loans, empowering more than 92 million people. The organization operates in 15 countries across four continents, with a significant portion of its impact achieved in the past five years.
