Four Arrested in Minneapolis After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Linked to Smash-and-Grab Crimes
Four individuals, including three teenage boys, were arrested in Minneapolis following a police pursuit involving a stolen vehicle suspected of being connected to multiple smash-and-grab incidents. The incident began early Friday morning when Minneapolis Police responded to reports of vehicle window breakages in the 4600 block of Minnehaha Avenue. Officers located a vehicle driving erratically, running red lights, and entering oncoming traffic, prompting a pursuit. The chase concluded when the suspect vehicle collided with a Hennepin County Sheriff's Office squad car near 26th Avenue South and East 9th Street. Following the crash, three of the four occupants fled on foot but were apprehended. The individuals taken into custody include three juveniles aged 15, 16, and 16, and an 18-year-old.
