Virginia Bus Crash Claims Lives of Family En Route to Wedding
A tragic bus crash in Virginia resulted in the deaths of four family members from Massachusetts who were traveling to a wedding in South Carolina. The victims, Dmitri and Ecaterina Doncev and their two children, Emily and Mark, were killed when a motorcoach collided with vehicles that had slowed for a work zone on Interstate 95 in Stafford County. The crash occurred at approximately 2:35 a.m. on Friday. A fifth victim, a 25-year-old woman from Worcester, Massachusetts, also died in the incident. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the crash, focusing on the high speed of the bus at the time of the collision. The bus was operated by E&P Travel Inc., and the driver, Jing S. Dong, has been identified as a 48-year-old from Staten Island, New York. Language proficiency of the driver, who is a native of China, will be part of the investigation.
