Colorado Father Warns Parents After Son's Sudden Death from Rare Disease
Viet Vu, a father from Denver, Colorado, is raising awareness about systemic capillary leak syndrome (SCLS) after his 5-year-old son, Justin, died from the rare condition during a family vacation in Oregon. Justin fell ill suddenly, experiencing symptoms like stomachache and vomiting, and was hospitalized but succumbed to the disease. SCLS, also known as Clarkson's disease, causes fluid leakage from capillaries, leading to severe health complications. Vu hopes to inform other parents about the disease, which is extremely rare and difficult to diagnose.
