Mexican Musician, Pregnant Wife, and Daughter Found Fatally Shot in Mexico City Home
Jonathan Meléndez, a 35-year-old keyboardist for the indie rock band Camilo Séptimo, was found fatally shot alongside his 35-year-old wife, Ana Paula, who was four months pregnant, and their 3-year-old daughter in their Mexico City home. The family's 21-year-old nanny was also killed in the incident. According to CNN, citing the Mexico Attorney General’s Office, three of the victims, including the daughter, were shot in the backs of their heads, while a fourth victim was shot in the back. Two of the victims had their hands tied, and the family dog was found dead with its legs bound. A 6-year-old boy was discovered unharmed at the scene. Police have arrested two men in connection with the murders, with prosecutors indicating that one suspect used a relationship with one of the victims to gain entry into the home.
