Montana Governor Gianforte Addresses Tribal Concerns, Honors Veteran, and Promotes Agriculture During 56-County Tour
Montana Governor Greg Gianforte recently concluded a segment of his annual 56-county tour, engaging with various communities and addressing key state issues. During a visit to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT), Governor Gianforte discussed a range of concerns, including the state's prison system, housing shortages, delays in Medicaid processing, a proposed mine near the Bitterroot, and a stalled land exchange. The Governor also recognized Staff Sergeant Greg Atherton with a Veteran Commendation for his extensive community service, which includes volunteering as an EMT, firefighter, CPR instructor, and patient care technician.
