World Jewish Congress President and Iranian Crown Prince Discuss Future Israel-Iran Relations
World Jewish Congress Israel President Sylvan Adams and Iranian Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi met in Paris to discuss the potential for a democratic future in Iran and the restoration of diplomatic ties with Israel. The meeting focused on the shared vision of freedom and democracy for Iran, with Adams expressing support for the Iranian people's struggle for liberation. Pahlavi highlighted the historical connection between Iran and Israel, emphasizing the long-standing support from the Jewish community. As a gesture of hope, Adams presented Pahlavi with two mezuzot made from Jerusalem stone, symbolizing the future establishment of Israeli and Iranian embassies in Tehran and Jerusalem, respectively. The meeting was seen as a step towards ongoing cooperation and the rebuilding of relations between the two nations.
