Fort Worth Police Officer Fatally Shoots Man Allegedly Pointing Gun at Officers
In Fort Worth, Texas, a police officer fatally shot a man who allegedly pointed a gun at officers responding to reports of gunfire along Wiman Drive. The incident occurred just after midnight on Saturday. According to the Fort Worth Police Department, officers arrived at the scene after receiving multiple reports of gunshots. Upon arrival, they heard additional gunfire and confronted an adult male with a gun. Despite orders to drop the firearm, the man allegedly pointed the gun at the officers, prompting at least one officer to fire a service weapon, striking the man. The man, who has not been identified, was declared dead at the scene. No officers were injured. The Fort Worth Police Department's Major Case Unity is investigating the shooting.
