The 31,000-square-foot development, undertaken for the South Boston Neighborhood Development Corporation (South Boston NDC), involves a full interior renovation and exterior restoration of the existing five-story building, complemented by a new addition at the rear. Planned amenities include a lobby, mail room, sitting room, and shared laundry and lounge spaces. The project aims to preserve the building’s historic character while providing much-needed affordable housing. Westpfal managed to exit the water safely with a damaged surfboard and minor abrasions on his leg from kicking the shark's skin. The incident occurred as Hurricane Lowell fueled towering waves across the Hawaiian Islands.
