Linda Blair's Unlicensed Kennel Found with 251 Dogs, Raising Overcrowding Concerns
Animal Care and Control officials have cited Linda Blair, known for her role in 'The Exorcist,' after discovering 251 dogs at her unlicensed kennel in Acton, Los Angeles County. The investigation was prompted by multiple complaints about overcrowding and unsanitary conditions at the Linda Blair Worldheart Foundation. The facility, previously licensed to house a maximum of 100 dogs, had its license expire in 2023 and was not renewed. During the inspection, officials found several zoning violations, including unpermitted structures and an industrial-sized cargo container. Although no dogs were removed, the facility was ordered to provide veterinary care for three dogs and address housing and sanitation issues. Blair responded on social media, highlighting the broader issue of shelter overcrowding exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
