Montverde Academy Students Participate in Light Orlando's Project Hunger to Package One Million Meals
Upper School students from Montverde Academy recently engaged in a day of service with Light Orlando's Project Hunger. This initiative brought together volunteers to sort, package, and prepare meal kits for families experiencing food insecurity within the community. The students, including members of the girls' volleyball and basketball teams, contributed to a larger community effort aimed at creating one million meal kits. The event saw students actively involved in sorting ingredients, assembling meal kits, and preparing packages for distribution. This service day provided an opportunity for students to give back to the community and make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Light Orlando hosts Project Hunger twice a year, and the dedication of Montverde Academy students was noted by the organization.
