A United Airlines flight from Chicago to New York was diverted to Pittsburgh International Airport on Saturday due to a potential security threat. The flight, UA2092, landed safely at around 11:45 a.m. local time after the crew reported a possible security issue. The 159 passengers and six crew members on board evacuated the Boeing 737 using emergency slides. The Allegheny County Police, along with the County Police Bomb Squad, conducted a thorough sweep of the aircraft, passengers, and luggage, finding no threats. The incident, which involved a suspected bomb threat, was cleared after the investigation. The airport remained operational throughout the event.
