Chick-fil-A Employee Arrested for Allegedly Stealing $80,000 Through Mac Cheese Scheme
A former Chick-fil-A employee, Keyshun Jones, has been arrested for allegedly orchestrating a scheme to steal $80,000 from a restaurant in Grapevine, Texas. According to reports, Jones was dismissed from his position last November but continued to access the restaurant, where he would enter fraudulent food orders into the register and refund them to his personal credit card. The scheme involved approximately 800 orders of mac and cheese, which were processed as phony refunds. Security footage reportedly captured Jones executing these transactions. An arrest warrant was issued on April 6, and Jones was apprehended on April 17 by the Texas Attorney General’s Fugitive Task Force and the Fort Worth Police Department. He faces charges of property theft, money laundering, and evading arrest, with a potential sentence of up to 10 years in state prison if convicted.
