Homewood Community Relief Pop-Up Provides Aid After Severe Storms
The Village of Homewood has organized a community relief pop-up event to assist residents affected by recent tornadoes and thunderstorms. The event, held in Martin Square, provided free bottled water, storm supply kits, and pizza slices to community members. The initiative was a collaborative effort involving Domino’s Pizza of Homewood, Berkot’s Super Foods, the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and ComEd. The storms, which occurred three days prior, left many residents in Homewood and the South Suburbs without power, prompting the need for immediate relief efforts.
