Faith and Medical Expertise Save 4-Year-Old's Life in Uruguay
The Santiago family shared their experience of their daughter Estelle's near-death illness while in Uruguay. Estelle, diagnosed with hemolytic uremic syndrome, faced life-threatening conditions, including kidney failure and heart issues. The family, far from their Utah home, relied on their faith and the expertise of Intermountain Health's medical team. A medical flight, facilitated by Intermountain Health, brought Estelle back to the U.S. for advanced care. Against the odds, Estelle recovered, celebrating her 4th birthday with family and the medical team that aided her recovery.
