Massive Oak Branch Falls on Atlanta Home, Residents Unharmed
A large oak branch fell onto a home in Atlanta, Georgia, early Sunday morning, startling resident Juanita Huntley awake. Huntley, who was using a CPAP and oxygen machine at the time, initially thought the noise was a tornado. The incident occurred on Benjamin E. Mays Drive SW, where three people were inside the home. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the house sustained minimal damage, although a car in the driveway was affected. The fallen branch also caused a power outage, raising concerns for Huntley about the potential spoilage of over $500 worth of meat in her freezer. The American Red Cross is assisting the residents, who may need to relocate due to downed power lines.
