Mexican Authorities Investigate Vizsla Silver After Kidnapped Miners Found Dead
Nine out of ten miners kidnapped in Mexico have been found dead, as confirmed by Vizsla Silver, a Canadian mining company. The miners were abducted in Concordia, Sinaloa, in January. Mexican authorities are investigating the involvement of criminal cartels, specifically the Sinaloa Cartel's 'Los Chapitos' faction, and whether Vizsla Silver employees bear any responsibility for the incident. The company operates the Panuco Project, a silver-gold mine, and has been in contact with the family of the one miner still missing. President Claudia Sheinbaum has confirmed that Mexico's Attorney General's Office is probing labor conditions at Vizsla Silver.
