Millikin University Students Undertake Cultural Immersion Course in Korea
Millikin University students, led by Professor of Education Dr. Hee Young Choi, participated in an ED360 Immersion course in Korea. The program was structured in two main parts. Initially, students lived with Korean host families, providing them with an authentic experience of daily life, community, and cultural traditions. This homestay component allowed for firsthand insight into the nuances of Korean family life. Following the homestay, the students explored significant cultural and historical sites in Seoul and Busan. These excursions were designed to connect their classroom learning with the rich history and culture of Korea, deepening their understanding of multiculturalism and fostering a sense of global citizenship. The course aimed to provide learning opportunities beyond traditional classroom settings, broadening students' perspectives on diverse cultures and communities worldwide.
