Kentucky State Police Post 12 Announces Traffic Safety Checkpoints in Multiple Counties
The Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 12, based in Frankfort, has announced it will conduct periodic traffic safety checkpoints across its coverage area. This includes Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer, and Woodford Counties. These checkpoints will be implemented at approved locations, adhering to the KSP Policy and Procedures Manual. The primary objective of these high-visibility public safety services is to enhance motorist safety on public roadways and deter violations of Kentucky Revised Statutes. KSP Post 12 aims to focus on operator impairment, vehicular equipment deficiencies such as registration and insurance, and the valid licensing of drivers. Any other violations or public safety issues encountered during these checkpoints will also be addressed.
