Tropical Storm Bertha Approaches Gulf Coast, Weakening Expected
Tropical Storm Bertha is currently located about 105 miles south-southeast of Mobile, Alabama, and is moving northwest at 6 mph. The storm has maximum sustained winds of 60 mph and is expected to weaken as it approaches southeastern Louisiana. Tropical storm warnings are in effect for parts of the Florida Panhandle, southeastern Louisiana, and New Orleans. Bertha is forecast to weaken to a tropical depression by Thursday and could dissipate or become a post-tropical system by the end of the week.
